One At A Time (OAAT) is my creative brainchild, birthed from personal and professional experiences. As a practitioner with an innate strength in empathy I have found empathy fuels every interaction in both my professional and personal spaces.

I have found myself in the 'business' of leadership. Due to my daily interactions, history in the social service industry and a natural curiosity for humanity, I have launched this platform to both share my learned experiences, expertise and refections, sharing resources, while also hoping to hear from you. I want to know how empathy shows up in community spaces, work places, living and personal spaces. I am curious how leaders practice compassion and how understanding is prioritized in conversations.

OAAT's foundational values are empathy, compassion and understanding. Our approach on this platform will be experiential. Maybe a resource we share will hit right, maybe it won't. However the goal is to create a space for learning, reflection and dialogue. I will share resources relevant to both my current professional experiences, previous experiences, and lessons learned along the way. I am inviting this opportunity to impact existing and future leaders develop their empathy, compassion and understanding; all while continuing to growth in those areas myself.

So what is empathetic leadership? "Empathetic leadership is a style of leadership that focuses on identifying with others and understanding their point of view. Empathetic leaders take a genuine interest in the people around them – what makes them tick, what inspires them and the way they feel," according to Tony Robbins.

One At A Time will focus on just that, one tool at a time, one practice at a time, one person at a time, until we have built up the collective stamina, strength and aversion to discomfort to transform the spaces we professionally or personally convene. I am so glad you're here!

“Honesty and openness is always the foundation of insightful dialogue.”
